There are few lines:

"Bis zum 28.11. normaler Dienstbetrieb, um 02.13 Uhr Dampfer rechtweisend 25 Grad, schnelles Schiff, hatten Mühe heranzukommen, mußten mit hoher Fahrt laufen. Gegner zackt stark. 05.47 Uhr noch ein Dampfer, können aber nur einen bedienen, deshalb F.T. Abgabe: 'Von Emmermann, jage Dampfer, Kurs 300 Grad, 14 Seemeilen, zwoter Dampfer Südostkurs Marine-Quadrat ER 9259'.
Um 07.16 Uhr Doppelschuß Rohr I und III: 1. Torpedo Fehlschuß, 2. Torpedo Treffer Mitte, Maschinenraum, starke Sprengwirkung, sinkt nicht. Mit 10,5-Kanone versenkt. 09.17 Uhr Dampfer gesunken. Amerikaner - ALASKAN - 5364 BRT. von Kapstadt über Trinidad nach New Your, Stückgut, Kraftwagen."
