The Type VIID is top-down line drawing is shown (conning tower and mine stowage) on page 29 of "Type VII Germany’s most Successful U-Boats". The same two drawings are shown on page 58 of the "Chesneau" book (link below).

Another set of drawings is shown on page 200 of "Geschichte des deutschen Ubootbaus - Volume 1" by Rossler (1975).
