Hi

if you mean head of KDB device, located on the bow (near capstan), it is invisible on many photos, because this hydrophone device was installed only in first years of war (till middle 1943). After than, it was abandoned. This mast could not be elevated or lowered, and was very vulnerable to depth charges.
