Hi Adam,

Lt. z.S. Russ was part of the crew of a Do 18 of Küstenfliegergruppe 2/106. I believe he was an observer, the aircraft was flown by Oberleutnant Heüveldop. The aircraft was one of several involved in the attack on HMS SHARK and dropped a 50 kg bomb which missed by 40 meters and machine gunned the submarine.
