Can anyone help me find any information about the last sailing of the Empire Endurance that was sunk in 1941 by a uboat. My Grandfather Thomas William OShea was a fireman and trimmer and was lost at sea when it sunk. Are there any living crew members that survived this event that could contact me. Our family in New Zealand have only recently found out how he died. So for 72 years we have never known what had happened to him once he left Wellington sometime around 1939. My Father sadly never found out anything about his father while he was alive.Thomas Osheas mother; Mary, was still alive in 1941 and had lived at 35 Gerard st, Liverpool at some point. If anyone has any info on Mary Oshea and her family that would be much appreciated. My email is filmcraft@xtra.co.nz
