<HTML>Hello All, In the 1970\'s as far as I recall, there was a diver from the US in Britain, trying to obtain permission to dive \'officially\' on a U-Boat he had discovered in what was then British Territorial waters on the West side of the Atlantic.
The U-boat was lying in about 80\' ( Eighty feet ) of water, and from sketches he had made was identified as one of the latest to be built before the end of WW II.
The British authorities refused permission but still wanted to know the position etc., which the diver refused to divulge.
The other unique thing about the U-boat was that it was sealed from the INSIDE and showed no signs of damage, or having been opened from the outside.
Can anybody provide me with any information regarding this U-boat please ?
Was the exploration & recovery ever resolved ?
Regards,
