Hi Rainer just a after thought, of all the U-boats lost to aircraft I have collected aircraft numbers, types, crew losses and who saved the survivors of all except four, these U519 and U1229 were as you saw I managed to one right. I wonder as of the remaining two, as I have not had any joy, have you the details I need. U97 sunk by a Hudson on 2.06.43, 27 dead, but what happened to the 21 survivors?. All I have is RN ships collected them. The last U9, sunk in a bombing raid at Konstanza 20.08.44. No mention of crew loss, but regarding the attack, all I have is aircraft from Black Sea airforce, not type/s or numbers. This one I realise the details may never be known.
