JCRT,
Montrolite, a Canadian Imperial Oil tanker sunk by a German U-boat off Bermuda in 1942 as it was heading north to Halifax with a cargo of diesel fuel from Venezuela. It has a capacity of 55,200 barrels. Don't know if it was topped off to capacity during the sinking. I hope this helps in some way.
