Ken, thanks for the input, I think Rainer puts forward how what grey area covers the aborted sailings etc, and that different authors have approached this in their own ways. As for myself, if a boat had not re-sailed within a week of its return date, then I am counting that patrol as aborted, likewise with the patrols where boats were re-called. regards John
