Regret you lost a relative aboard the STELLA CAPELLA.

Have no explanation for the dates of March 11 (or 19), 1942, but am sure March 11, 1942, is the day the STELLA CAPELLA was lost, just as uboat.net documents.
The loss of the trawler on that day correlates with an attack by U701 the same day.

"Lloyd's War Losses: the second world war" gives no loss date but mentions re. the STELLA CAPELLA that "Admiralty announced Apr 25 vessel overdue and must be considered lost".

"Axis submarine successes" (see [www.historisches-marinearchiv.de] ) brings information to the loss of the trawler that is complementary to the information provided by uboat.net, including the torpedo firing report of U701.

Regards,
Walter
