Postcards/`German` handwriting

<HTML>Hi all -

May I just post this as a follow-up to the `handwriting` thread ? Having worked out what the cards say (all KM, one actually U-boat) I have to say it`s all a bit of an anticlimax. All the cards say much the same thing; `Dear...... I am well. I hope you are. No time for a proper letter. Am in harbour at the moment. Just received your letter/parcel. Hope to see you soon. Warmest greetings.......` I suppose with the censor looking of their shoulder there wasn`t much else they could say, nor is there space for much more on a postcard !

One chap got as far as saying, `This is a splended cruiser` (on the front of the postcard) - but the word `cruiser` has been crossed out and `ship` written in. Presumably even that might have offended the censor !

Ah well.........

Best regards to all - and thanks for the contributions.

Frank
