Is this REALLY from a Hecht Midget Submarine?

Hey guys,

The Imperial War Museum has this in display...indicating it is from a Hecht.

I found an exact one here in the USA, that also has more controls...and some post-war additions.

I am curious is this is actually post-war and not wartime?
