U-134 vs. K-74

<HTML>Smithsonian\'s Air and Space magazine\'s current issue featured an article about Naval Air Station Richmond (Florida) and mentioned the fight between U-134 and Lighter than Air ship K-74. Prowling on here, I found a link to a site about the battle. One thing they mentioned in the link was 134 using their 88mm Deck gun against the blimp. Could the 88 elevate that much? Did they have FlAK ammo? (Don\'t think High Explosive or Armour Piercing would work too well on a blimp.) Also, what was the general rule of thumb on wether to take on an aircraft or dive? tjk</HTML>
