U 534 museum

Today I visited the museum near Liverpool, UK, which is based around the display of U534 which was raised from the seabed many years after being sunk near Denmark.

The boat has been cut into 4 sections and the damage by the depth charge which sunk her can also be seen. Also on display were items from the boat, and there were taped interviews with some of the crew.

I saw a party of German teenagers there who showed a lot of interest. It was well worth the visit.
