I would like to know about my father's war service record, he was
Captain John Aim Shearer Leslie RNR MBE who commanded HMS Prodigal in 1943, at that time engaged in Naval Intelligence gathering in the Mediterranean. He subsequently moved to Coastal Defences at HMS Fox in Lerwick where he was awarded the MBE for his service in the anti-uboat war in the Atlantic.
I have very little information about my fathers service in the war and would
greatly appreciate any information from any who may have known him.
He went into the Merchant navy with Furness Withy on demobilisation in 1945.
Very many thanks
