Further research of the attack on HMS Pink, torpedoed and damaged on June 27th 1944 produced a total of 15 U-Boats in the Channel area during June 1944. Of which six [U767, U988, U629, U740, U971, U269] were lost before the attack on Pink with another seven U-boats [U214, U218, U953, U671, U741, U763, U984] returning after the attack, but none of these reported making any attacks on that date [27th]. Of the two U-boats left, U1191 survived after the date Pink was hit until July 3rd when she too was sunk, but she had not made no attack reports after the 27th. However her position on the 27th is reported to have been in Grid BF31, which is away from the area [BF36] of the attack on Pink. Which leaves U441, she too however made no signals of making any attacks after the 27th before her loss on June 30th, but her position is reported within Grid BF36 on the 27th.John
