Nearly true.
Tanker BELCHEN (6367 grt) was one of seven tankers sent out as supply ships for RHEINÜBUNG.
After BISMARCK's loss, BELCHEN provided fuel for submarines.
While supplying U 93 on June 3, BELCHEN was discovered by RN cruisers AURORA and KENYA and sunk (or scuttled).
After the sinking, U 93 rescued 49 survivors and brought them back to France.
Arriving there June 10, BELCHEN's survivors had been aboard U 93 for seven days.
