KF kalte fette Cold weather, down to -20C (basically, the lubricant doesn't freeze.)
beh The three letter code for Leitz - all equipment manufacturers had a code.
Number is serial number.1942 I think but can check.
T means coated lenses. This was water soluble so will have washed off by now.
M is Marine i.e Navy
You will also find a regional code on some e g N for Gruppe Nord which was North Sea and Norway.
7 x 50 Magnification and diameter of object lens.
I have about 6 of these all different, and in various conditions. The optics are not as good as Zeiss, but they are much more pleasant to handle.
Which way is the eagle's head pointing, as some were done the "wrong" way?
