This boat sailed from La Pallice on 03.02.44 and returned on 05.02.44 with mechanical problems and did not re-sail until the 14th. Would this not class as an aborted war patrol, seeing U505 on her listed 6th, 7th and 8th [patrols], each of which only lasted two days are? john
