This boat is listed as being scuttled on May 3rd 1945. She is also listed as being damaged during an American air raid on April 9th. On checking the Air War Europa by Eric Hammel and the Mighty Eighth by Roger Freeman, neither record an American air raid on that date in fact they list the last American raid on Hamburg as being on April 4th. However in The Bomber Command War Diaries by Martin Middlebrook and Chris Everitt they list a raid on Hamburg by the RAF on April 9th, but state the damage they caused could not be confirmed due to an American raid a few hours earlier. Is any other source available on these dates? John
