The wording used on a U-boat to order maneuvers like diving and surfacing is very strict - even to this day. Only standard verbiage and nomenclature was used. Anblasen is an actual term used to order blowing. It is found in the Diving Manual which you can read here [www.uboatarchive.net] The word Ausblasen = to blow would be used to discuss blowing in a general way but would not be used by the Chief Engineer or Kommandant to order blowing.
