Cannot find much info on crew after or at raising? Wonder if there was ever a memorial or crew invited to opening of museum? as 3 died on it after being sunk. They did sink and kill a British bomber crew at the time as well so maybe not? I am also an advanced diver and it is amazing to me the ones who survived a ascent from 220 ft with no special equip., very well trained in diving considering it was over 70 years ago The one lad did hold his breath though with predictable result. I guess the nickname "iron coffins" was apt.
