Das Boot , Book and Film . Any idea about HLW feelings about LGB work ?
Date: June 11, 2007 04:22PM

Good evening, Ladies & Gentlemen !
Meine Damen und Herren , Guten Abend !
(I'm sure that our friend VEK will be pleased by his pupil's good manners...)
More seriously, I've just finished reading " Count not the Dead ", by Michael L. Hadley, and I was surprised to see the magnitude of the uproar created by LGB as described in chapter " Buchheim's Wave ".
So, question is simple : HLW, who was alive when the book was issued, and who acted as Technical Advisor during shooting of Petersen's film , has he expressed any comment about LGB description of U-96 patrol ? If this is the case, I'll be interested by his feelings , unless they are to be considered as private matters.
Thanks in advance / Danke im Voraus.
