U-571: What did you think it was?

<HTML>When I saw the previews for U-571, I thought I had the plot all figured out. I thought the story was about a U-boat being chased by ships and submarines by the U.S. navy. The thrills and spills would come out of this U-boat\'s attempts to evade the Americans.

But, alas, I got it wrong. Although the premise was very good. A group of sailor take over a U-boat and then are stuck onboard(now how many of us has dreamed that would happen to us) the director didn\'t want to play with that concept. He brought in some corny thrills with million dollar special effects. If he had focused more on story he might of had something here.

I wonder what did you guys think U-571 was going to be about before you saw it? And would it had mad a better film?
