I cannot read German, but the U-234 story and her commander character fascinate me. Actually he was J.H. Feheler and previously had been the “demolition officer” on raider Atlantis under B. Rogge command. In the fifties he wrote a book, titled “Herr Dynamite” in which he describes his naval career.
