<HTML>How embarrassing was that movie \"submerged\" last night? It seems every actor or actress today is only concerned with playing to awards commitees and has absolutly no interest in an accurate portrayal of a period character. Some notes on the acting:
1. Swede Momson\'s character was a cross between Robert Conrad\'s portrayal of Pappy Boyington and any character played by John Wayne.
2. American women of that time period would never call a naval commander a coward (scene where the commander assks the captain\'s wife to deliver the news to the other wives that some of the men might have died).
Unfortunately, Hollywood knows if they put a submarine in a movie (however bad it may be) they can count on my money. Its a sick cycle!
