Movies and Films
This is the forum for Movie and Film discussions. Again, our topic is naval warfare in WWII for the most part.

Just watched the movie myself and was intrigued by the morse message at the end, being a former amateur-radio operator with a military morse-operator training.

The message (as far as it was discernible to me) reads

CQ CQ CQ DE SSINGO (break) CARGO SHIP OUT OF T... (Tokyo)

"CQ" ("seek you") is a general call ("anybody out there!"), "DE" means "from", and "SSINGO" naturally refers to the ship "Ingo".

So yes, the message is quite legitimate.

Regards, L.
