<HTML>Stalingrad was made by the producers of \'Das Boot\'. But not Wolfgang Peterson.
If you notice during the German attack on the Soviet factory, the director uses the same type of wiggley movie camera technique as in \'Saving Private Ryan.\' I goes to show that good art is copied, great art is stolen.
As for the movie, was it well made? Yes. Did I like it? NO. The movie is too good because it is very sad. The movie focuses on a group of German soldiers who are gradually ground down by their experiences in Stalingrad. Slowly they lose everything that they had at the beginning of the movie. Which is why I didn\'t like it.
It\'s hard to see people destoyed by the cruelity that surrounds them.
