<HTML>We are not really talking about a film here, at least the German version is a 6-hour video series, with links to previous episodes and the war correspondent doing a rather interesting voice-over at key places - there is a particularly funny sequence during the revictualling at Vigo which was completely cut out in the film - there is also a more coherent exchange of views between the captain and the sound-man just before they reach port which adds more poignancy to the ending. Hope you enjoy it as much as the film, which was rather bowdlerized in places, Puritan ethic being what it is. Regards,
