<HTML>I taped and kept the TV version off British TV at Christmas '99. Having seen the Director's Cut recently, I can tell you that you don't get that much more. There are two love scenes between the French girl and the young lad (cut in with the party on shore) and the only real loss takes place at Vigo. This entails Ein Zwero giving a hilarious display to the "operetta officers" on how depth-charging feels, using a punch bowl and a ladle to demonstrate - he lets an orange go from a great height and they all get soaked.
Weirldy, there is one part in the D's Cut not in the TV series - as Thomson is picked up off the floor at the very end of the party sequence he says in English "but I'm in no state to @!#$" - this is not in the TV series!
The translations in the film are way better than those in the TV series...so, not too much difference.</HTML>
