<HTML>I am trying to complete the reconstruction of the exciting voyage of the crew of the submarine U-167 when was severely damaged by a english "Hanson" aircraft near Canay Islands, and scuttle by her crew, who was afterwards "whisk away" to the spanish authorities fin the middle of a party in the marina of Puerto de la Luz before the internement, for being repatriated by another submarine.
This submarine was salvaged in 1951 and used to making films. What films?.
I konow better that her diesel engines were given to the spanish frozen ship
RIO UMIA in 1963, but replaced one year fater due to continuos troubles.

If any can help me in thah research I will be grateful

I also have complete information if somebody wish,about the career of another german submarine in spanish waters, U-573, who was in the spanish navy just to 1970 and was used in the film "U.47, Commander Prien".
