Way back on 12/17/02, you asked me about the "FILMING DAS BOOT ARTICLE"
and I responded with the offer to send you a copy of the 7-page article from the
"PROCEEDINGS" magazine, but I never received your reply. I'm still willing to send
you this very interesting article. Just send me your "snail mail" address and it will
be on its way to you in short order.
Btw, there's the appearance of too much running around and confusion whenever a
"drill" or an emergency arises on K-19. This is normally not the case because most trained submariners don't go crashing through the passageways to the scene of the
emergency. Swiftly yes, but with cool determination. But as you stated, Hollywood wants it exciting, and most of the audience has no concept of what
really does happen in a submarine.
