<HTML>Dick:

How could I forget...

"Apocalpyse Now" and "Platoon" ?

Some movies, I would think respond to the feel of the time. "The Green Berets" was a pro-war movie designed to balance the social outcry of the Vietnam war. "Guadalcanal Diary" too was a pro-war movie filmed in 1943. They can create support for the soldiers and create support for the government. "Apocalypse Now" and "Platoon" both take a different approach and show the brutality and waste that war is. There is nothing redeeming about war when you see these.

It will be interesting to see what type of movies come out of this USA/Iraq war.

We'll see.
