<HTML>I'm no expert, but by all accounts the set for Das Boot is quite accurate. as you all probably know, Buchheim had volumes of complaints about the movie, but he says that the first time he entered the set for the interior of the boat, he felt as though he'd stepped into a time-machine and was back in U96. I believe that Captain Lehmann-Willenbrock, who could naturally be expected to have more technical savvy than Buchheim, also approved.
