Carl Bohm (along with "Achim" Krug) is listed as a "naval advisor" in the credits for "Das Boot." I have been unable to find any reference as to Bohm's credentials for that role.
Who is/was he?
Krug was a Kriegsmarine officer who wrote a short piece published by the Naval Institute Press about the making of "Das Boot."
Adm. Erich Topp and Heinrich Lehmann-Willenbrock (commander of the U-96) are pictured here in u-boat.net meeting with Jurgen Prochnow and other cast members, but they are NOT recognized in the film credits. Why not?
