WW2 mini-subs?

I am doing development research for a norwegian feature film, and my question is:

What is the name/type/model of the smallest allied submarine made for warfare during WW2?

How small was the crew?

Did mini-subs exist in 1945?

I would really apprechiate any information about this topic!
