Hello All, in this forum is the date of loss from the navy trawler „LOCH SHIEL“ (without D) given with 26.JUN.1916 by a mine from U-78. Other sources “Aberdeen built ships” and “British war losses” say 26.SEP.1916. Which of both is correct? The U-78 is commissioned at 20.APR.1916 and I have no dates of his cruises. Hello All, i search now for more details about the loss of a swedish sailing ship. Name is Ragnhild oder Ranghild. Former is norwegian, build 1894. Date of loss is on or about 30.Oct.1917. Hello Yves, bonjour. thanks for the very fast reply. I have see on 12.dec.1917 the loss of the tw AMADAVAT on a mine by U71 CO Dröscher and 13.dec.1917 the loss of the ARNEWOOD on a mine by U78 CO Dröscher I look for the dates from both barrages. Hi Steven, the only fact to the cargo of the Bremen is in a book from Eberhard Rössler: “Die deutschen U-Kreuzer und Transport-U-Boote“. „Die Ladung der Bremen bestand in erster Linie aus Medikamenten“ transl.= The cargo of the Bremen was in the main medicines. Hello, have anyone the information which german submarine sunk the italian steamship "Capodimonte" ( 5902GRT, built 1917 ) at 24.Oct.1917 in the Mediterranean with a torpedo. Hello, i have a confusion with 2 russian hospital ships. At 30.may.1916 i have a "N.51" sunk by U-33 in the black sea. i have no confirmaton on this. the former french "Portugal" is sunk at 30.march.1916 (or 17.march ???) and the "Vperyed"(Vpered) is signed with "N.120" and sunk 8.july.1916 or 9.july or 16.july or 19.july (more confusion) has anyon

I have found the ships on a site about Scheveningen and his fishing vessels from JAN HARTEVELD I is no location of the loss given, only "Zeil Logger"= sailing trawler and cause of loss "Getorpedeerd" i have think a submarine is probable. best regards Michael D.

Hello, at 12.NOV.1917 the netherl. fishing vessel "HUIBERTJE SCH.242" was sunk by the german sub "UC-47" CO=Wigankow,Günther. (source Bendert) At the same day, two other netherl. fish. vess. are sunk too. "STATENDAM SCH.62" and "GEERTRUIDA SCH.357" (notice that this is not "GEERTRUIDA SCH.103 sunk at 5.JUL.1916) both are noted as war losses.

Hello, i search for more datails about the loss of the Port Santo. The ship is built 1886 as Ellesmere, in 1898 german Schiffbek, in 1916 take by Portugal and ren. Santa Maria, same year ren. Port Santo. Ship have 2708 GRT. Date of loss is 4.SEP.1918 Some sources say destroyed by a fire, other sources say torpedoed by a german subarine (which?)? thanks in advance and best regards

Hello Yves, good morning. The informations about the loss of the PUSHKIN are thin. Torpedo or mine is not sure. U 33 was not a minelayer. Maybe the sub use TK-mines, but i don't know enough about this "tk-mines". (Only used by the U-cruisers?) Probably is PUSHKIN sunk with a torpedo. Thanks for the reply Yves. Best regards Michael D.

Hello, different sources give two submarines for the loss from the british steamer "INDRANI" at 27.June.1915. The ship have 3640grt and was built 1888. Some says the U-34 CO-Claus Rücker have fired the torpedo but other says U-24 CO-Rudolf Schneider have do it. Have anyone light for the confusion ? best regards Michael D.

I have look for Lauterbach-Emden at "Der U-Bootkrieg 1939-45" from Busch/Röll but there is nothing more then you have found. Hello all. i search infos about the commander Julius Lauterbach and his ship. Lauterbach is a survivor of the "Emden" and return to germany from PoW at Singapore.
