add. to question the loss is of the book of Harald Fock "Flottenchronik". With the name "UC-54" confirmation of the loss is in the internet some portuguese sites. Some of them speak from a german mine. Bendert says: The Barrage (from UC-54) have no success. best regards Michael D.

Hello all, i have read about the portuguese Minesweeper "Roberto Ivens" that the ship is lost on a german mine at 26.Jul.1917 near Cape Espichel. More of the ship: 796tons, built 1906. Is the information correct? Is this a portuguese defensive-barrage? Is the sub UC-54 ? best regards Michael D.

Hello Bell & Michael, i miss the ship in the very good book "The Kaiser's Pirates" by John Walter. All the other merchant-cruisers are inside. I search the name of the german commander from the "Triumph", one from the U-156 crew. Anyone have this? (Same question from last year) best regards Michael D.

Hello Michael, the mines from the cruisers are old. Laid in Dec.1914. They are ready after one year? 2 other trawlers (Madiator & Courtier lost in this area 2.JAN. and 6.JAN.1916 too) All hit by old (german) mines, or is this a british minefield ??? best regards Michael D.

Hello, i search for more details about the loss of the trawler "Rosy Morn" She is mined on 13.JAN.1916 and sunk west from Doggerbank, about 54.40N 01.10E. 181 GRT, built 1914. Is the mine laid by a submarine? (UC-10?) or another. best regards Michael D.

Hi Michael, hi Simon, together with the L’Avenir is a second belgian ship lost. The PAYS-BAS. Maybe the ships are lighters. The ships are not sunk, but captured by Torpedoboats. Hello uboatnet, now a search for more details about the loss of the Navy Trawler "Towhee". Earlier she is a Hull trawler with sign H.987. Built at Goole in 1908 with 199grt. The little informations i have says "15.June.1917, lost on escort duty in the english channel" and another "probable on a mine", "Skipper Ellison RNR" No exact position is given

Hello all, again, i search details for a lost fishing trawler. The name is NJORDUR or NJORBUR, an islandic trawler with registration RE.36 (Reykjavik?). Details from ship: 286grt, built 1912 as "Velia" = FD.229. In Miramar the trawler is only findable with the old name. 1914 is the ship sold to Icelandic owners and renamed.(see "LANCASHIRE FLOAT") Loss is given with: &

Hello, the admiralty trawler "Lord Salisbury" is sunk at 04.MAY.1917 on a mine off Eros Island, Salonika, Greece. The trawler has 285grt and was built 1911. Former fishing sign is H.323 Was this mine layed by a submarine? best regards Michael D.

Hello, the U 156 (CO Feldt) captured the canadian fishing vessel TRIUMPH (239grt/bt1907) at 20.Aug.1918 and use it as a AMC for a few days. I search the name of the german commander from the TRIUMPH. Why is the ship not listet as a regular AMC like the captured TURRITELLA? (From AMC WOLF at 27.Feb.1917 and used as AMC ILTIS) best regards and thanks in advance Michael D.

Hello all, in this database is the streamship "Gleneden" 4735GRT, built 1909, noted as sunk on 24.Feb.1917 by U-39. Ship Index shows the vessel's end 1940. Tennant's book have no entry as loss. Is the ship only damaged? Have anyone more info? best regards Michael D.

Hi Geo, hi Lio, the U-151 have only this two operations completed. A third starts at 17.Oct.1918, but is cancelled at 21.Oct.1918 and the boat returns to base. best regards Michael D.

Hello all, i have search for details about the loss of the drifter Diligence. It appears, that the trawler is not sunk. He have a gunfight with a submarine in November 1916, but returns damaged to harbour. Diligence is the Brixham Trawler "BM.32" Reg.#= 109295 Quotations from Internet-Sites "Fired on and sails peppered by shrapnel" and it exist a photo, shows Diligene

Hello all, a new asking for a vivacious discussion is the loss from the british Steamer SPITAL at 15.JAN.1918. "4sm SSE from St. Anthony Point" is the former Daldorch named and 1907 build ship with 4718grt torpedoed by a submarine. (???) She is not in the list. Is she sunk by U-93 ? best regards Michael D.

Hello Joseph, both submarines are operating in this area. Harald Bendert write that UC-25 mining at 29.SEP.1916 the Aland-Isl. and UC-27 lay mines between 07.NOV.1916 and 16.NOV.1916 north of Aland-Isl. and on another operation between 27.NOV.1916 and 02.DEC.1916 near Aland-Isl. The little swedish steamer FRIGGA 386GRT/1878 is sunk at 23.DEC.1916 “westcoast of Finland” at 61.10N 021.02E
