Hello all, Were the mine chutes in a UC class submarine just holding tanks? That is, were the mines mechanically launched or put over the side by one of the crew?

Thanks, Freddy. I actually wrote "bows" since the source material actually had written bows. I thought it was weird as well. So thank you for your comments. So I assume you think it more likely to be painted on the bow rather than the stern?
