I composed a carefully written letter, requesting information about Heyda, which I translated into German. I received some additional help with the translation and sent both the English language version and the translated version off to Volkmar König. F

Go to the below listed webpage and in the search function type in the U-boat numbers such as (u-100 or u100) and the term "U-boat" use quotes for U-boat I searched for quite a while with much help from Roger Griffins and we could not locate the U-99 file. Other boat tours: For those of you who are out and about in the US this summer, "not too far" from Chicago the submarine, USS Silversides SS236, can be seen at the Great Lakes Naval Memorial & Museum in Muskegon Michigan. Then if on the east coast - on the Thames River in Groton, Connecticut the NAUTILUS, first nuclear boat to be built, can be toured. Rodney Martin
