Other boat tours:
For those of you who are out and about in the US this summer, "not too far" from Chicago the submarine, USS Silversides SS236, can be seen at the Great Lakes Naval Memorial & Museum in Muskegon Michigan. Then if on the east coast - on the Thames River in Groton, Connecticut the NAUTILUS, first nuclear boat to be built, can be toured.
