Hi James, Consider it done. I edited a few things, added some new 'events' as well as sources. All sources used for the 'events' and Commanding Officers came from documents photographed at the National Archives at Kew, London. By the way, we currently only list the Commanding Officers during the Second World War. Best regards, Brian Corijn (Admin. Allied warship

Dear Julie, HMS Liddesdale was based in the Eastern Mediterranean and operatated out of Alexandia, Egypt. She had left that port on 3 May 1945. Her record unfortunately does not mention where she went and when she returned to Alexandria. She departed Alexandria again on 19 May 1945 for Pireaus, Greece where she arrived on the 23th of that month. Kind regards, Brian Corijn uboat.net crew

One should think of MTB's / MGB's, ML's, HDML's, MMS, etc, etc. Some work has already been done on this but it is not yet online due to the ever returning problem of 'not enought time at hand'. Hi All, As Brian V correctly points out we indeed don't state the definate cause of loss for USS Pompano. I howevers disagree with Brian V. that Pompano could have had anything to do with the sinking of the Taiko Maru. Taiko Maru was sunk to the WEST of Tsugaru Kaikyo it is far more likely that this ship was sunk by USS Wahoo (if not mined). USS Pompano was ordered to patrol of the E
