I have Das Boot on DVD and have watched it several times Mr Dunn and it NEVER gets old. I also watched the Das Boot series - wonder if they will make the sequel?

I'm looking for recommendations for books and films that give an accurate account/portrayal of daily life on a U-boat. I want to discover the nitty-gritty, what the sights and sounds were like, food, hygene, sleeping routines, the smells, the humour etc. Thank you
