Sorry all I have is now what you have - a photo of the part and a label of the part saying detonator ring. What I would like to know is whether the labelled photo is in fact part of a torpedo and if so, where it might be located on the torpedo.

Hello everyone I am specifically trying to find a researcher who specialises in the subject of the Italian submarine fleet during WW2. I have two thoughts on how to progress, first, find out whether there is an Italian equivalent of this website and leave a post there and second ask people here on the off chance that they know of an Italian I can contact ???? Yours hopefully GBKIWI

Please confirm receipt of the three private messages which I have sent - nothing is coming up on my "Sent" box in respect of private messages so I do not know if I am doing something wrong or not. Apologies if nothing has been received, I will keep trying !

Many thanks in anticipation GBKIWI
