View through the round pressure hatch into the stern torpedo room. The two stern torpedo tubes are barely visible in the background, and in front of them is the emergency helm station. Two torpedoes could be stored on the floor in this compartment, but none under the floor plates, as that space is taken up by the torpedo compensating tanks and aft trim tank. This was the living area for a good portion of the technical ratings of the boat, and thus the compartment has eight bunks. The aft head is out of view to the left.
