02:25 - U-534's future in doubt
Historic Warships at Birkenhead, Liverpool is to be closed from 5 Feb 2006. This decision put the warships located there into serious doubt.
02:04 - Development of uboat.net
In December I tried, as an experiment, out Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Source Safe 2005 (I use those at work). This has worked out so much better than I had hoped and really sped up my development of the site. I just have to teach VS.NET 2005 to speak PHP and we're settled :)
02:01 - Updated the Myths and Stories page a bit. The updated part deals with Martin Bormann.
01:26 - New article
Introduced the article The Central Powers submarines in the Mediterranean during WWI by Robert Derencin. This is a very interesting article on a topic not too often discussed.
18:15 - KrvKpt. Otto von Bülow passed away on Jan 6 at the age of 94. Another of the most respected officers to pass away within days. May he rest in peace.
18:49 - U-boats production speeds
Created a nice new page showing the production by shipyard and type from 1935 to 1945. Very interesting to see the difference from yard to yard.
In addition to the items shown here above we made some 200 additions or changes in our databases during January 2006.
