German U-boat U-660 was scuttled in the Mediterranean near Oran, in position 36°07'N, 01°00'W, after damaged by depth charges from the British corvettes HMS Lotus (Lt.Cdr. H.J. Hall, DSC, RNR) and HMS Starwort (Lt. A.H. Kent, RNR).
