Career information
He was a stock-jobber in the City of London by trade. He married Rosemary Harrison. Joined the RNVR during the war. He returned to banking after the war. During 1961-1966 he was Chairman of the London Stock Exchange, of which he was also one of the trustees.
Capper was a Master Mariner, certified with the Board of Trade, a member of the Little Ship Club, London and a member of the Royal Naval Sailing Association.
His son, Richard Mark Ord was educated at Eton and Cirencester Royal Agricultural College; and still grows apples and hops at Stocks Farm, Suckley, Worcestershire. He married Jennifer Madden, a grand-daughter of the Admiral of the Fleet, Sir Charles Madden, baronet of Kilkenny.
