Career information
Rex L. Hicks was born on April 4, 1897. He was the son of James and Nora Hicks of rural Stronghurst, Henderson County, Illinois. He graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1915 and was admitted to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis the following semester. He died on Dec. 26, 1972 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia.
