| Notes on loss | At 22.27 hours on 6 Sep, 1942, the John A. Holloway (Master James Lionel Holmes) in convoy GAT-2 was torpedoed and sunk by U-164 north of Gallinas Punta, Colombia. One American signalman was lost. The master and 22 crew members landed at Santa Maria, Colombia on 12 September. | ||
